Where to get started

First, download our mobile wallet Osiris. Osiris is the easiest gateway to get started with the Plutum ecosystem. Then, you'll need an NFC tag of some type. The easiest way to get ahold of NFC tags is through Plutum's NFC tag distribution program, in which anyone can get free tags just by submitting a form. The form is located here: insertlink.com.

If you want NFC tags in bulk, purchase NTAG-215 specification tags from a reputable provider. We reccomend the following providers on Amazon:

At the moment, Plutum Protocol exclusively works with NTAG-215. We are working on expanding the selection of tags Plutum can use.

Creating your first PNFT

Creating your first PNFT with Osiris is simple. We'll walk you through the steps!

  1. On Osiris, drag down and select the "Create" option.

  2. Hold your device up to the tag where the NFC reader is, and your device should automatically detect the NFC tag.

  3. Attach a name and any photo you wish. Photos will be hosted through Plutum, and a link to them will be provided in the PNFT.

  4. When your device prompts, rescan the NFC tag.

  5. Once the data is written to the NFC tag, your NFT will be submitted to the blockchain as an ERC-721 contract.

  6. Once the ERC-721 contract is deployed, your PNFT has been created!

Transacting your first PNFT

Osiris makes the transaction of PNFTs very easy. We'll start with receiving, and then sending.

To receive

  1. On Osiris, drag down and select "Receive."

  2. When prompted, the sender will scan the NFC chip.

  3. Following the sender, the receiver will scan the NFC chip.

  4. The transaction will be submitted to the blockchain.

  5. Once complete, the PNFT will change hands.

To send

  1. On Osiris, select the PNFT you wish to transact.

  2. Click the send icon - a small arrow pointing upwards.

  3. Click "send."

  4. When prompted, scan the NFC chip.

  5. Following the sender scanning the NFC chip, the receiver will scan the NFC chip.

  6. The transaction will be submitted to the blockchain.

  7. Once complete, the PNFT will change hands.
